better day
just to make things clear, my entire day didn't go as crappy as the previous post might make you believe. in fact, immediately after having written that post i felt ten times better (and then i got dave's email of a picture ... as you can see below).but the reason i've logged on a second time today was that i remember i was going to write something about my adventure yesterday.
in my hustle and bustle to complete school i have perpetually put off applying for a new passport. yesterday i got suited up in my traveling shoes and ventured out on the greydog bus and rediscovered my love of traveling. after waiting an hour (only an hour, if you need a passport now's the time to get it) to see a passport specialist i had three hours to spare before my ship left port. so i sat and read for a bit in queen elizabeth's shade and upon the arrival of a light shower i took a stroll to (what i thought was) a coffee cafe.

apparently "cafe" is a word loosely employed by the downtown vendors, but no real loss because this set me out on a quest to find a secondcoffee, or stardoes, or whatever ... and what i found, to my delite, was this lovely little shop. sadly, after ordering a coffee i realized that the coins i was carrying didn't add up to enough, but the young woman behind the counter said
no problem at all, i've got all this change!and pulled from (what i discovered later to be) her tip jar.
i don't know what her name was, but i would really like to thank her again. and if you have the chance to stop in hamilton for three hours sometime, drop by the freeway coffee house and say hi for me!
